cornhole maze (as jess would put it)

I won some tickets to the David Archuletta corn maze at Thanksgiving Point from the tv show Good Things Utah. I actually had to go live on air and answer a trivia question to get these...the things I do for free stuff! Anyhow, here are some pics from our adventure:This corn maze has seen better days. A lot of stalks were torn down for people to make their own paths. We were done with it after about 5 minutes.Who knows what Jess is doing.Well, damnit. Anyone would agree alcohol is much needed to make this thing fun. I love that drinking alcohol makes you look like the old "crazy" guy on this sign. So they had this huge "jumping pillow" that was probably supposed to be just for kids, but we over took it by the end of the night. Jess came on jumping with no regard for the children around him and started bouncing poor little kids left and right. This lady started screaming at us that her children are there and to stop jumping. We didn't.

i still love you...

I love this man. I loved him long before I met Jess, but sadly, he never personally came to sweep me off my feet and serenade me with his sweet music like I always dreamed.

New album, Cardinology, out today. Like it, but it is not my favorite album he has done with the Cardinals. Nothing totally stood out for me. Maybe I need to listen to it a few more times. Anyone looking for my recommendation on Ryan Adams albums I would highly suggest: Heartbreaker, Gold, Cold Roses, Jacksonville City Nights, & Easy Tiger. Man, that was hard only to list a few of my favorites, because of course, I love all of his albums. Also, check out Whiskeytown (band before he went solo), Strangers Almanac. Trust me, there are many more albums, but these are just a few of my favorites.

I am always looking to recruit new Ryan Adams followers.

and this is why i love club 90

Hot men! This guy was such a winner (read his shirt if you can...it so fit his perverted personality). We kept telling him he looked like Kid Rock, but he didn't seem to take it as a compliment. Not pictured are his tight acid washed jeans and high top tennis shoes.

Sexy ladies for my friends! (No that is not either of their moms)

And dead stuff hangin' on the walls!

Woo Hoo! FUN NIGHT OUT AT CLUB 90!

yee haw

Yesterday, Casey and I were going to go to Thanksgiving Point for the Scarecrow Festival, but Casey did some research online and found something better...the Payson Country Festival. We were all prepared for back country mullets and tight Wranglers, but it actually turned out to be quite different! First of all, it was free (Thanksgiving Point was not!), and it was at someones farm house, so it was quaint and had a down home feel. There were booths, tractor rides, awesome food (The best roast beef sandwhich I have ever had), petting zoo, and fiddlers. Our "hoe down" picture.
Casey was scared of the pony, so I took Mikayla to pet him.

The goat bit me. I guess that is what I get when I stick my finger through the gate. They look like they have human teeth! (Sidenote: ignore my shirt that happens to be gapping wide open)

Casey wasn't scared of the goats. She should have been....they bite, ponies don't!

Love my lil' niece! You would think she was my child with how many pictures I post!

obsessed

I found the perfect fall fragrance...Leaves from Bath & Body Works. I passed by a store that was blasting the fragrance out of their door and ended up buying the whole works...a candle, lotion, and soap. Damn Bath & Body Works!

sushi

My mom actually ate SUSHI and loved it! We have been trying for ages to get her to try some. Of course it was the unagi tempura roll (fried eel w/ cream cheese), but that is a start! She did try a spicy tuna w/ avacado roll and almost gagged. I am still proud of her!

If anyone is looking for a great sushi place, there is one called Teru Sushi off of 7200 So. just below Highland Dr. (across the street from the liquor store, so in a strip mall on the south side of the street).

picture tag

Tagged: Here are the rules, you pick the 4th picture in your fourth folder, and then give a brief decsription.
This is my best friend Eileen and her husband Trevor singing at a coffee shop back in May. It is rare that Eileen will sing in front of a crowd...so proud of her!
Now I tag Veronica, Amanda, Megan, Mandy, and whoever else wants to participate!

Goin' back to Cali

Last week I went on a girls trip to Newport Beach, CA w/ Jess's mom, sister, grandma, and baby neice, Mikayla. We did some shopping, some more shopping, a little bit of pool and beach time, and then some more shopping! Here are some pics from the trip:Mikayla's first plane ride. She was so good...not one cry or whine the entire time! We did some thrift store shopping. Casey just loved this acid trip skirt!Of course we indulged on some Mexican food...LOVE that chips & salsa!
Mikayla's first trip to the beach!
Grandma Bean acting as a professional photographer.
Check out our awesome rental boat! We picked up a lot of guys cruising around in this baby!
Horribly ugly car, but I have to admit, it sure fit all of our crap!
I met up w/ my friend Rick for drinks at Sharkeez one night. Rick and I actually met in Newport Beach about 14 years ago and became pen pals (before email!) until he ended up stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden. He moved back to CA a few years ago, so I only get to see him once in a while.

Needless to say, we were all completely broke after our South Coast Plaza shopping expedition!

Bored on the plane ride home!

YAY, Jake is here!

Jake and his girfriend, Joelle, finally decided to grace us with their presence! It is extemely rare that Jake will make the trek from Crested Butte, CO to see his family, but since we were on the way home from their trip to MT they stopped by! Here are some pics of the whole family:

Jake, Joelle, Jerry, Joel, Jeanie, Casey, lil' Mikayla, Dan, me, and Jess

Jake, Joelle, and Jerry were party poopers in our funny face picture.

This one has Joel's girlfriend, Kaysia, in it.

Once again...2 party poopers!

Check out my BLING!

I know what you all are thinking..."WOW, look at the size of those diamonds!" and "Awww, what a sweet husband Niki has!" Even though Jess is a total sweetheart, there is no way in hell he would ever bring something like this home as a surprise (I think he would rather get me some rock climbing or mt. biking gear). And no, unfortunatley, they are not real diamonds, but I think they still look dang good!

These beauties were purchased from a $200 gift certificate I won! I sat on it forever, because I was thinking "What in the world can I possibly get for $200 in a jewelry store?". The certificate was due to expire today, so I thought I had better just go check it out. Well, apparently you can get CZ's w/ white gold prongs for $180. This is actually just what I have been wanting for a while!
Woo Hoo... I win!
